Leones del Escogido (10-4) 6, Toros del Este (5-9) 4 - Ramon Laureano's first home run of the season, a three-run, bottom-of-the-ninth game-ender, sent the Leones fans home smiling as Escogido won their ninth straight game and took sole possession of first place. The Toros took a 4-0 lead in the top of the first, getting an RBI single from Gilbert Celestino, a two-run homer from Jesus Sanchez, and a sac fly from Felix Reyes. A two-run double from Franchy Cordero in the bottom of the first got the Leones on the board, and they drew within one on an RBI single from Marco Hernandez in the sixth.

Estrellas Orientales (6-7) 5, Gigantes del Cibao (7-7) 3 - Marco Luciano got the Estrellas on the board, drawing a bases-loaded walk in the third, and Jose Tena followed with a two-run double. Leo Bernal's fifth-inning ground out with runners at the corners scored Harold Ramirez, and Tena's sac fly got Raimel Tapia home for a 5-2 lead.

Aguilas Cibaenas (4-9) 8, Tigres del Licey (9-5) 3 - Jasson Dominguez played his first game with the Aguilas and immediately boosted the offense, doubling in a run in his first at-bat and going 2-for-4 with an RBI, a double, and two runs scored as the Aguilas knocked off Licey. Aderlin Rodriguez hit his second homer of the year, a three-run shot in the third, and Dominguez' New York Yankees teammate J.C. Escarra went 2-for-5 in the win. New York Mets infielder Ronny Mauricio made his debut with Licey and hit a two-run homer in the sixth.

Major Leaguers Returning Home This Week - Dominguez and Mauricio are two of six players who appeared in Major League Baseball last season who made their LIDOM season debut last night. The other four are Adael Amador, José Tena, Bryan De La Cruz, and Ramón Laureano.
