UCF Knights head coach Rich Wallace has signed a contract extension that will last through the 2030 college baseball season.
In a press release from UCF Athletics, Wallace expressed his gratitude for staying with the UCF baseball program as an Orlando native.
“UCF has always been home, and I’m honored to continue leading this program through the 2030 season. I’m grateful to Terry Mohajir and our administration for their continued trust and support. We have tremendous momentum right now, and I’m excited about the future of UCF baseball. Together, we’ll continue building a program that makes our university, alumni, and Knight Nation proud while competing for championships at the highest level.”

Wallace just wrapped up his third season as the head coach of the UCF Knights. He has led the team to 98 wins over the course of those three seasons.
Wallace has also led UCF to the NCAA Tournament two times in three years, in 2024 and 2026. In 2024, they played in the Tallahassee regional. In 2026, they played in the Auburn regional. Despite being eliminated in both regionals, UCF has won three NCAA Tournament games in three seasons under Wallace.
Before Wallace arrived at UCF, the last time the Knights made the NCAA Tournament was in 2017.
Wallace has also been a part of UCF baseball during their full transition into the Big 12 Conference back in 2024. Despite two losing seasons in Big 12 play in 2024 and 2025, Wallace just led the Knights to a 19-11 Big 12 record in 2026. This led to a fourth-place finish in the Big 12 standings behind only Kansas, West Virginia, and Arizona State.
The Knights are on a steady upward trajectory under Wallace's leadership, which makes this extension a vital one across the college baseball landscape.
