Where is the Little League World Series?
South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Games are split between Howard J. Lamade Stadium and Volunteer Stadium on the Little League International complex. The tournament runs Aug. 19–30.
How to watch
Every game is on ESPN or ESPN2. Sunday's championship moves to ABC.

Every one is win-or-go-home. Seven of the eight teams are 2-1 — Tijuana is the only club playing Tuesday that isn't.

Wednesday, Aug. 26 — 1, 3, 5 and 7 p.m. The 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. games are winner's-bracket finals; those two clubs go straight to Saturday.

Curaçao hasn't lost
An island of about 150,000 people has the best record in the tournament.
Pariba Little League of Willemstad shut out Japan 6-0 and beat South Korea 1-0, and plays Nicaragua on Wednesday at 1 p.m. with a place in Saturday's international championship on the line.
Curaçao has sent Xander Bogaerts, Jurickson Profar, Andrelton Simmons, Kenley Jansen, Didi Gregorius, Ozzie Albies and Andruw Jones to the major leagues. Willemstad won this tournament outright in 2004.
The Rasmus family has been doing this in Williamsport since 1999
The best story in the U.S. bracket is in Phenix City, Alabama, and it runs four generations deep.
Kinley Rasmus threw a complete-game shutout in the Southeast regional final and didn't allow a run across nine innings in three regional games. She went 6-for-8 with two RBIs and four walks. In Williamsport she came within a few feet of becoming the first girl to homer in tournament history.
Her uncle is Colby Rasmus, 891 hits over ten major league seasons — and a member of the last Phenix City team to reach Williamsport, in 1999.
Her father, Cory, was on that same 1999 team and pitched in 84 games for the Braves and Angels. He taught her the curveball. He's an assistant coach on this year's squad.
The head coach is a third brother, Case, too young for 1999, who played four seasons of minor league ball. His son Ryker is Kinley's cousin and a teammate.
The 1999 team was coached by Tony Rasmus, Kinley's grandfather and a former Angels draft pick.
And it isn't only the father's side. Her mother Jill played softball at Southern Miss, and Jill's brother is Jeff Mathis, who caught for six organizations across 17 major league seasons — the longest career in the family.

The Little League Classic
The major leagues came to Williamsport on Sunday. Atlanta beat Milwaukee at Journey Bank Ballpark at historic Bowman Field, with fans watching from scaffolding beyond the outfield fence and Rob Manfred in the stands.
Mauricio Dubón doubled in a run off Shane Drohan in the second. Brice Turang scored on a Jake Bauers double in the third. Ronald Acuña Jr. stole second in the fifth. Michael Harris II homered off Aaron Ashby in the eighth, and Luis Lara answered with an RBI triple.
Before the game, both clubs spent the afternoon at the Little League complex. Brewers closer Trevor Megill bought Gatorades for dozens of kids and said he felt like Justin Bieber. Jake Bauers, a former Little Leaguer himself, went straight to the West Region team from San Diego in the stands.
Baseball without borders
Look at the towns still standing: Willemstad, León, Tokyo, Tijuana, Seoul, Vancouver. Then Henderson, Davenport, Tacoma, Phenix City, Hamilton, Bayonne.
Six countries and six American towns, and the through-line is the same one that runs through everything we cover. Nicaragua and Curaçao and Mexico are producing twelve-year-olds who can pitch for the same reasons those countries produce major leaguers. Japan has eleven championships. Mexico was the first country outside the United States to win it.
The tournament is the clearest annual snapshot of where baseball actually lives, and it's free on basic cable for two weeks every August.
