Will Furniss and Judd Utermark are returning to the Ole Miss Rebels for the 2027 college baseball season.

The two players are able to return for a fifth year due to the recent court ruling in Colorado. The ruling by Judge Charlotte Sweeney stated that 2022 high school graduates, which includes Furniss and Utermark, were granted a fifth year of eligibility.

Furniss and Utermark went undrafted in the 2026 MLB Draft and did not sign any professional contracts as undrafted free agents.

Furniss and Utermark's careers with Ole Miss

The additions of Furniss and Utermark give the Ole Miss Rebels a huge boost for the 2027 college baseball season.

In four seasons, Furniss has a .290 batting average with the Rebels. He also has 31 career doubles, 33 career home runs, and 150 career RBIs.

The 2026 season was his best season with Ole Miss. He was named second-team All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) and had a .306 batting average with a .420 on-base percentage.

Utermark is Ole Miss baseball's all-time home run leader with 51 in his career. In four seasons with the Rebels, he also finished with a .280 batting average, 21 stolen bases, and had 142 RBIs.

Much like Furniss, Utermark was also named second-team All-SEC in 2026. He was also named a third-team All-American this past season by the National College Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
