The Vanderbilt Commodores will play four teams during the 2026 fall exhibition slate. Here is their 2026 fall exhibition schedule:
October 18 - Walters State Senators - Nashville
October 25 - Northwestern Wildcats - Evanston, Ill.
November 1 - Arizona Wildcats - Las Vegas
November 8 - Austin Peay Governors - Nashville
In 2026, Vanderbilt finished the season with a 33-25 overall record and a 14-16 record in Southeastern Conference (SEC) play.
The Commodores missed the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2005.
A look at Vanderbilt's 2026 fall baseball opponents
Vanderbilt will play Walters State Community College in Nashville to kick off their 2026 fall exhibition slate.
Walters State is a well-regarded JUCO. The Senators have won 40+ games in 24 out of the past 25 seasons. It is also an in-state opponent for the Commodores. Walters State will travel into Nashville from Morristown, which is in East Tennessee.
After playing the Senators, Vanderbilt will hit the road and play the Northwestern Wildcats in Evanston, Illinois. In 2026, Northwestern finished with a 21-30-1 overall record and an 8-22 record in Big Ten play.
The Wildcats finished in last place in the Big Ten standings this past season.
Vanderbilt will head out west to Las Vegas to play the Arizona Wildcats in an exhibition game.
The Commodores played Arizona in the 2026 Las Vegas College Baseball Classic this past season on February 28. The Wildcats beat Vanderbilt 5-1. The Commodores played two other games in Las Vegas against Oregon and UC Irvine and lost those games as well.
In 2026, Arizona finished with a 19-34 overall record and a 9-21 record in Big 12 play. It was a down year for the Wildcats, considering they made the College World Series in 2025.
Vanderbilt's final fall exhibition game in 2026 will be against the Austin Peay Governors in Nashville. Last season, Austin Peay finished the season with a 24-31 overall record and a 14-16 record in Atlantic Sun play.
