The Texas A&M Aggies know two opponents that they will play early on during the 2027 college baseball season.

According to TexAgs Analyst Ryan Brauninger, the Aggies will play the Milwaukee Panthers to open the 2027 college baseball season at Blue Bell Park.

Brauninger also "heard" that Texas A&M will face off against the Purdue Boilermakers in an early-season midweek matchup in College Station.

These games will come around the same time as the Bruce Bolt College Classic in Houston. From March 5 through March 7, Texas A&M will play in Daikin Park against the Louisville Cardinals, Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns, and the Houston Cougars.

Milwaukee's "Cinderella" run and an improving Purdue program

The Milwaukee Panthers were one of the major "Cinderella" stories of the 2026 college baseball season.

The Panthers finished the regular season with a 27-33 overall record and a 14-10 record in Horizon League play. Then, Milwaukee took down Wright State to win the 2026 Horizon League tournament title. This sent them to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2010.

The Panthers played in the Auburn regional as the four seed and stunned some of their opponents that they were playing. Milwaukee won two games at Plainsman Park during the NCAA Tournament against Auburn and UCF. They scored 13 runs in each of those victories.

The Purdue Boilermakers finished the 2026 college baseball season with a 37-20 overall record and an 18-12 record in Big Ten play.

It is the highest win total Purdue has had since 2018, which is when they last made the NCAA Tournament. It is also their highest Big Ten win total since 2008. The Boilermakers finished in sixth place in the Big Ten standings, just behind Ohio State.

Texas A&M 2026 season results

The 2026 college baseball season was a much-improved year for Michael Earley as the head coach of the Texas A&M Aggies.

The Aggies finished with a 41-16 overall record and an 18-11 Southeastern Conference (SEC) record. Those are way better win totals compared to 2025, when they finished 30-26 overall and were 11-19 in SEC play.

Texas A&M made it to the NCAA Tournament and hosted a regional at Blue Bell Park in College Station. They picked up wins over Texas State and Lamar in the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
