The Tennessee Volunteers have revealed their four opponents for the 2026 fall exhibition slate.

Here is the 2026 fall schedule for the Tennessee Volunteers:

  • Oct. 11 - Troy Trojans - Nashville (First Horizon Park)

  • Oct. 16 - Lipscomb Bison - Knoxville (Covenant Health Park)

  • Nov. 1 - Kennesaw State Owls - Chattanooga (Erlanger Park)

  • Nov. 8 - Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - Chattanooga (Erlanger Park)

Breaking down Tennessee's 2026 fall exhibition opponents

Tennessee's first opponent in the fall is the Troy Trojans. That exhibition game will be in Nashville at First Horizon Park. The ballpark is normally home to the Nashville Sounds, the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.

In 2026, Troy went to the College World Series for the first time in program history. They finished with a 39-32 overall record and a 17-13 record in Sun Belt play. The Trojans did pick up a win during the 2026 College World Series against a Southeastern Conference (SEC) opponent, the Ole Miss Rebels.

The second opponent Tennessee will play during the 2026 fall exhibition slate will be the Lipscomb Bison. That exhibition game will be at Covenant Health Park in Knoxville. That ballpark is normally home to the Knoxville Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.

In 2026, Lipscomb finished with a 29-26 overall record and a 19-11 record in Atlantic Sun play. The Bison had a great postseason. They won the 2026 Atlantic Sun Tournament and made the NCAA Tournament. They played in the Starkville regional and played Louisiana and Mississippi State.

Lipscomb also played Tennessee this past season on April 21 in a midweek game. The Volunteers won that game 14-4.

The Tennessee Volunteers will play their final two fall exhibition games in Chattanooga at Erlanger Park. That ballpark is normally home to the Chattanooga Lookouts, the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.

The Volunteers will play the Kennesaw State Owls in Chattanooga on November 1. In 2026, the Owls finished with a 25-28 overall record and a 13-17 record in Conference USA play.

Tennessee will return to Chattanooga on November 8 to play the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.

Georgia Tech had a historically good season in 2026. In James Ramsey's first season as the head coach, the Yellow Jackets finished with a 50-11 overall record and a 25-5 record in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play.

The Yellow Jackets won the ACC regular-season title for the second straight season and also won the ACC Tournament for the first time since 2014.
