From February 26 through February 28, six college baseball teams will play in the 2027 Orlando Baseball Classic.

The event will take place on Walt Disney World Resort property at The Stadium in the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

West Virginia Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Panthers heading to Orlando

A pair of rival schools are heading to Orlando in late February for the event. The West Virginia Mountaineers and the Pittsburgh Panthers, who are arch-nemeses in the Backyard Brawl rivalry, will play in the 2027 Orlando Baseball Classic.

In 2026, West Virginia made the College World Series for the first time in program history. They won two games in Omaha against the Troy Trojans. The Mountaineers finished with a 47-17 overall record and were 21-9 in Big 12 play.

In 2026, the Pittsburgh Panthers finished with a 33-24 overall record and an 11-19 record in Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) play.

The Panthers did make an impressive run during the 2026 ACC Tournament in Charlotte. They defeated Louisville, Wake Forest, and Florida State and made it all the way to the semifinal round at Truist Field.

Hometown UCF Knights playing in the Orlando Baseball Classic

The UCF Knights will not travel too far, as they are also playing in the 2027 Orlando Baseball Classic.

In 2026, UCF finished with a 32-23 overall record and an impressive 19-11 record in Big 12 play. The Knights made the NCAA Tournament and played in the Auburn regional. It was their second appearance in the NCAA Tournament this decade.

Michigan, St. John's, Indiana State round out the 2027 Orlando Baseball Classic Field

The Michigan Wolverines will represent the Big Ten in the 2027 Orlando Baseball Classic. In 2026, they finished with a 34-24 overall record and a 17-13 record in Big Ten play.

The Wolverines picked up two wins in the Big Ten Tournament at Charles Schwab Field in Omaha against Rutgers and Ohio State.

The St. John's Red Storm are heading to Orlando in late February to play in the event at Disney World. They are fresh off a great 2026 season where they won a regional title and played in a super regional.

The Red Storm finished with a 36-26 overall record and a 15-6 record in Big East play. St. John's won the Big East regular-season and tournament titles. They won the Tallahassee regional in the 2026 NCAA Tournament and played in the Tuscaloosa super regional against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

The Indiana State Sycamores are also playing in the 2027 Orlando Baseball Classic. They finished with a 30-27 overall record and a 15-9 record in Missouri Valley Conference play in 2026.

The Sycamores have gone back-to-back seasons without making the NCAA Tournament after making the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back years in 2023 and 2024.
