A great season in Culiacan last winter helped Anthony Gose return to Major League Baseball with the Kansas City Royals this season.

Gose, the outfielder turned reliever, will return to the Tomateros de Culiacan for 2026-27. In 29 innings of work over 31 relief appearances in 2025-26, Gose earned 12 saves, struck out 30 batters, and posted an ERA of 3.41 in his first full season pitching in the Liga Mexicana del Pacifico. He made three appearances in the 2026 Caribbean Series, throwing 1 2/3 innings and allowing two runs on two hits and a walk.

He previously played winter ball in Puerto Rico with Manati of the LBPRC and in the Dominican Republic with LIDOM's Toros de Este. In 65 career innings of work in winter ball, Gose has a 2.49 ERA, 14 saves, 70 strikeouts, and 18 walks in 71 appearances.

After starting the season in Mexico with the Leones de Yucatan, Gose signed a minor league contract with the Kansas City Royals, who assigned him to Triple-A Omaha. He made 39 appearances with the Royals' top affiliate, posting a 4.89 ERA and 58 strikeouts in 46 innings before being called up to the Major Leagues on Aug. 27. With Kansas City, Gose has made four appearances totaling 4 2/3 innings and has yet to allow an earned run, allowing just two hits and no walks.

Colten Davis Returning to Los Mochis - After posting a 3.38 ERA in 37 1/3 innings across 36 relief appearances last winter, Colten Davis is returning to Los Mochis.

Davis came to Los Mochis last winter after playing three seasons in the American Association with the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks, managed by Caneros de Los Mochis manager Chris Coste. With the RedHawks, Davis made 63 appearances and threw 214 innings, making 31 starts and 32 relief appearances with a 4.25 ERA. He spent the summer with Queretaro in the Liga Mexicana de Beisbol, throwing 36 2/3 innings in 44 appearances with a 5.40 ERA.

Closer Kubiuk Returning To Winter Ball - Dan Kubiuk had a 1.35 ERA in his first season of winter ball, throwing 20 innings for the Algodoneros de Guasave in 2024-25. He'll try and repeat that success this winter with the Charros de Jalisco. Over the past two summers, Kubiuk has been a stalwart in the bullpen for the Piratas de Campeche in the LMB, recording 37 saves in 70 appearances and throwing 71 1/3 innings with a 2.14 ERA.
