Toros de Tijuana 10, Sultanes de Monterrey 1 - Another day, and another grand slam by Hernan Perez got the Toros de Tijuana on the board.

This time, Perez hit a grand slam, his second in as many games, in the top of the first, giving the Toros a 4-0 lead. The Sultanes de Monterrey never threatened, with Toros starter Adonis Medina allowing one run on four hits over five innings, and the bullpen allowing just one hit over the remaining four innings as the Toros cruised to a 10-1 win.

Gilberto Celestino drove in four runs for Tijuana, hitting into a fielder's choice in the second that allowed Jonathan Guzman to score, singling in the sixth to drive in Tomas Telis, and doubling in the eighth to score Perez and Francisco Lugo.

With the win, the Toros advance to the Serie del Rey, where they will have home field advantage and host Games 1, 2, 6, and 7 against the winner of the Zona Sur Serie Campeonato.

Olmecas de Tabasco 6, Pericos de Puebla 5 - Representing the tying run on second base with two outs in the ninth, Puebla's Sergio Alcantara saw an opportunity to change the game.

When Alcantara took off for third, Tabasco reliever Clayton Andrews, a righty, made a pick off move to the hot corner, and the ball arrived well ahead of Alcantara, who stepped out of the basepath for the final out of the game, giving the Olmecas a 6-5 win and a 2-1 lead in the series.

Marco Hernandez got the Olmecas on the board with a solo homer in the first, and a two-run double by Jasson Atondo in the second made it 3-0.

An RBI single in the third by Samar Leyva got Michael De La Cruz home to make 3-1, but a solo homer by Jose Godoy in the sixth and a two-run triple in the seventh by Calvin Estrada gave the Olmecas a 6-1 lead.

The Pericos kept pecking away, getting a pair of runs in the eighth, one on an RBI triple by Jose Rondon and another on a sac fly by Henry Ramos that made it 6-3.

In the bottom of the ninth, Sebastian Elizalde tripled in De La Cruz. A two-out single by Alcantara scored Herlis Rodriguez to cut the lead to 6-5.

Alcantara advanced to second on a wild pitch, but he wouldn't make it to third.

Game 4 is tonight at 9 p.m. EDT, with Jeremy Rhoades starting for Tabasco against Emilio Vargas for the Pericos.
