Pericos de Puebla 3, Diablos Rojos del Mexico 0 - Starter Antonio Santos allowed two hits and a walk over six scoreless innings and Herlis Rodriguez' two-out RBI triple in the third gave the Pericos all the offense they'd need to take Game 6 and eliminate the Diablos from the playoffs.

The series loss was the first under manager Lorenzo Bundy, who had led the Reds to nine consecutive series victories since taking over as manager for the 2024 season, and ends their quest for a third straight Liga Mexicana de Beisbol title.

With two outs in the third, Herlis Rodriguez tripled to score Samar Leyva from third. Sergio Alcantara followed with a single to score Rodriguez and give Puebla a 2-0 lead.

Lorenzo Cedrola scored on a wild pitch in the fifth.

Mexico managed just three hits in the game, with Franklin Barreto's double the only extra base hit. The Diablos went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position and stranded four runners.

Puebla advances to the Serie Campeonato, where they will face the winner of the series between Tabasco and Oaxaca.

Olmecas de Tabasco 8, Guerreros de Oaxaca 1 - Ronnie Williams allowed a single run over six innings, allowing four runs and two walks while striking out six as the Olmecas thumped Oaxaca to force a deciding Game 7.

The Olmecas bats got to work early, with Seth Beer doubling home Oscar Gonzalez with two outs in the bottom of the first. Agustin Ruiz followed with a two-run homer to give Tabasco a 3-0 cushion and chase Oaxaca starter Radhames Liz from the game.

Luis Barrera's solo homer in the third was the only blemish on Williams' start and the only run the Guerreros would score.

In the seventh, Tabasco added three more, getting RBI singles from Gonzalez, Beer, and Calvin Estrada, and a two-run double in the eighth by Gonzalez capped the scoring.

Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Game 7 is scheduled for tonight at 9:30 p.m. EDT. Neither team has announced a starter.
