Pericos de Puebla 4, Diablos Rojos del Mexico 1 - Trevor Bauer proved mortal in Game 2 of the second round, allowing four runs on nine hits over six innings, walking one and striking out nine while allowing a pair of homers to Jose Rondon as the Pericos shocked the Diablos Rojos to take a two-games-to-none lead in the series.

Puebla's Antonio Santos allowed a single run over five innings, allowing four hits, a walk, and striking out five to outduel Bauer.

A sac fly by Carlos Perez scored Carlos Sepulveda to get the Diablos on the board in the first, and though the Diablos continued to get runners in scoring position, they went 0-for-12 and stranded nine runners.

Rondon hit a solo homer in the second to tie the game, then another in the sixth that put Puebla ahead for good.

An RBI single by Sergio Alcantara added insurance, and a groundout by Cristhian Adames later in the inning extended the lead to two runs.

The series now moves to Puebla for Game 3, which is scheduled for Saturday at 6 p.m. EDT. Neither team has announced a starter.

Olmecas de Tabasco 3, Guerreros de Oaxaca 2 (10 Innings) - A one-out single by Oscar Gonzalez in the bottom of the 10th scored Marco Hernandez to give the Olmecas a 3-2 win and even the series at a game apiece.

Tabasco's Jimmy Cordero was perfect over the final 2 1/3 innings to earn the win.

Oaxaca's Alexi Amarista got the Guerreros on the board with a single in the first that scored Luis Barrera, and a second innings sac fly by Jorge Flores made it 2-0.

Gonzalez went 2-for-5 with two RBIs in the game, the first coming on a solo homer to get the Oaxaquenos on the board in the bottom of the second, and Randy Romero tied the game later in the inning with an RBI single that scored Agustin Ruiz.

The series resumes on Saturday night in Oaxaca City, with Game 3 scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. EDT. Jeremy Rhoades will start for Oaxaca, while Tabasco hasn't named a starter yet.
