Pericos de Puebla (4) 5, Piratas de Campeche (3) 3 – Samar Leyva hit a three-run homer in the third inning, and Herlis Rodriguez drove in the game-winner with a single in the seventh as the Pericos took Game 3 to grab a 2-1 series lead.

The Puebla bullpen held Campeche to a single run over five innings despite allowing five hits and three walks.

Game 4 is scheduled for Thursday night at 9 p.m. EDT, with Tommy Doyle starting for Campeche against Emilio Vargas for Puebla.

Guerreros de Oaxaca (6) 12, Diablos Rojos del Mexico (1) 3 – Oaxaca scored seven in the second and four more in the fifth as they cruised to an easy win in Game 3 over the Diablos.

Luis Barrera drove in the first run of the second with an RBI single, and Yonathan Daza drove in two more with a two-out single. A triple by Mel Rojas Jr. got two more home in the big inning, and then Juan Santana capped it off with a two-run homer.

Diablos pitchers Humberto Castellanos and Stephen Nogosek were each tagged for four earned runs, with starter Castellanos going 1 1/3 innings and Nogosek finishing off the second.

Four Oaxaca relievers combined to allow just three walks over four scoreless innings to preserve the win.

The series is now tied at two games apiece with Game 5 scheduled for tonight at 9 p.m. EDT. Brooks Hall will start for the Diablos against Luis Miranda for Oaxaca.

Sultanes de Monterrey (3) 6, Charros de Jalisco (4) 3 – Maikel Franco hit a solo homer in the second and scored in the sixth on a two-run homer by Omar Narvaez, and the Sultanes took Game 4 to put themselves a win away from advancing to the second round.

Franco and Socrates Brito each went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, and starter Jared Wetherbee allowed three runs in five innings of work.

Jared Walsh hit a two-run homer in the loss for Jalisco.

Game 4 is tonight at 9:30 p.m. EDT, with Daniel Cruz starting for Monterrey against Luis Ivan Rodriguez for the Charros.

Olmecas de Tabasco (2) 12, Bravos de Leon (4) 7 – The Olmecas got three in the seventh, four in the eighth, and a pair in the ninth to score nine runs over the final three innings and even the series with Leon at two games apiece.

Luis Gonzalez hit a solo homer with one out in the seventh, and Seth Beer added a two-run shot with two outs in the inning.

In the eighth, Oscar Gonzalez hit a solo homer, and then Luis Gonzalez singled home Agustin Ruiz to make it 8-5. Beer then hit a two-out, two-run single to give the Olmecas a five-run lead.

Ruiz homered for the first Tabasco run in the ninth, then Luis Gonzalez doubled home Alan Espinoza.

Sandber Pimentel hit a two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth for Leon.

The series is now tied at two games apiece with Game 5 scheduled for tonight at 9:30 p.m. EDT, with Ronnie Williams starting for Tabasco against Faustino Carrera for Leon.

Toros de Tijuana (1) 4, Algodoneros de Union Laguna (6) 0 – David Reyes threw five shutout innings, allowing five hits, walking one, and striking out two, and the Tijuana bullpen allowed one hit and one walk over the final four innings as the Toros shut out Union Laguna.

A single by Tomas Telis in the fourth got Isaac Rodriguez home with the only run Tijuana would need. Hernan Perez had an RBI single and Phillip Evans got a run home in the fifth with a sac fly.

The Toros now lead the series 3-1 and can close out the Algodoneros with a win in Game 5, which is scheduled for tonight at 9:30 p.m. EDT. Daniel Martinez will start for Tijuana. Union Laguna has yet to announce a starting pitcher.

Caliente de Durango (2) 7, Acereros de Monclova (4) 2 – Jonathan Villar homered for the second game in a row, hitting a three-run homer in the fourth for Durango, and the Caliente took a 3-1 series lead with a win on Wednesday night.

Yariel Gonzalez, Victor Marquez, and Daniel Johnson each had RBI singles for Durango, and Leobaldo Pina doubled home Villar in the first to open the scoring for the Caliente.

Starter Devin Smeltzer allowed two runs over five innings, and four pitchers out of the Durango bullpen combined to allow one hit and one run over the final four innings.

Durango can finish off the Acereros in Game 5 on Thursday night at 9:45 p.m. EDT. Joan Adon will start for the Caliente against Jackson Goddard for Monclova.
