A look at Florida's 2026 fall baseball opponents
The first opponent Florida will face in its 2026 fall exhibition slate is the South Florida Bulls. In 2026, the Bulls finished with a 32-21 record and an 11-16 record in American Conference play.
The Gators did not play South Florida during the 2026 college baseball season. The exhibition between Florida and South Florida will be at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. The ballpark is normally home to the Tampa Tarpons, the Single-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.
The Gators will then travel to the Florida Panhandle and play the Troy Trojans in Pensacola. The game is at Blue Wahoos Stadium. This ballpark is normally home to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins.
Troy had a historic 2026 college baseball season. The Trojans made the College World Series for the first time in program history. Along the way, Troy also knocked Florida out of the NCAA Tournament and won the Gainesville regional. The Trojans beat the Gators twice during that regional.
In 2026, Troy finished with a 39-32 overall record and a 17-13 record in Sun Belt play.
After the Pensacola trip, Florida will welcome an international opponent into Condron Family Ballpark in Gainesville. The Gators will face off against the Ontario Blue Jays.
The organization is an amateur baseball development group based out of Canada. The Ontario Blue Jays have had 11 players make their debuts in Major League Baseball, such as Josh Naylor, Bo Naylor, and Jordan Romano.
After hosting the Ontario Blue Jays, Florida will remain in Gainesville and play the Mercer Bears and Air Force Falcons in November.
In 2026, Mercer had an excellent season. The Bears finished with a 44-15 record and a 15-6 record in Southern Conference (SOCON) play. The Bears won the SOCON regular season title and were controversially left out of the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
Mercer beat plenty of big-time opponents in 2026, including Troy and Georgia Tech.
The Air Force Falcons had a 27-28 overall record and a 15-9 record in Mountain West play in 2026. The team is entering its first season under new head coach Drew LaComb.
