The 2026 Caribbean Series champions, the Charros de Jalisco of the Liga ARCO Mexicana del Pacifico, will head to Texas to face the Liga Venezolana de Beisbol Profesional's Cardenales de Lara in preseason action in October.

The game, scheduled for Oct. 11, 2026, will be played in Sugar Land, Texas at Constellation Field, the home of the Triple-A Sugar Land Space Cowboys, and will be followed by a concert featuring Latin music artists.

Chuly Events, a company that, according to its Facebook page, has "created or promoted highly visible multicultural events across the [southwestern] United States", is promoting the event, with the proceeds going to Accion Social Venezuela, a Houston-based organization providing materials and funding for relief efforts in Venezuela, according to an Instagram post announcing the event.

Information on ticket prices and an on-sale date have not been announced for the event, and emails seeking further information from the email address listed in the Instagram post announcing the event went unanswered.

The Cardenales de Lara have won the LVBP title seven times, most recently in the 2024-25 season when they represented Venezuela at the 2025 Caribbean Series in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico.

Based in Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico, the Charros de Jalisco hosted and won the 2026 Caribbean Series, defeating Mexico's Tomateros de Culiacán in the championship game, scoring the winning run on a wild pitch in the bottom of the 10th inning.
